Uses
Pharmacy Brand Citric Acid BP has many practical household applications. Add one teaspoonful of citric acid to each 100 ml of hot water and use this solution as:
- A baby sterilisation unit descaler: Machines may differ so always consult manufacturer’s guidelines. Pour the citric acid solution into the sterilisation unit allow to boil. Rinse the unit after use with plenty of water.
- A kitchen utensil cleaner: Citric acid is particularly effective in the removal of lime scale, for example on coffee makers. Rinse after use.
- A bathroom descaler: Citric acid is often used to clean hard water and mineral deposits from shower doors, shower heads, faucets, sinks and toilets. Suitable for drains too.
- A glassware cleaner: This solution will remove hard water stains from glass without scrubbing. Rinse after use.
