Uses

Aromatherapy: Tea tree oil blends well with cinnamon, clove, geranium, lavender, lemon, myrrh, nutmeg, rosewood, and rosemary or thyme essential oils. It is universal and easy-to-use oil. The oil has a generally medicinal scent and stimulating effect which is beneficial for the general mind.

Insect repellent & pesticide: Mix 15 drops of tea tree oil and one litre of water. Keep this natural repellent in a spray bottle and use when needed against ants and flies.

Disinfectant: To create an all-purpose cleaner, combine 2 teaspoons of tea tree oil in 2 cups of water in a spray bottle. Use to disinfect kitchen countertops or to control mold and remove mustiness in your bathroom. Laboratory studies have shown that tea tree oil is active against a broad spectrum of bacteria, fungi and some viruses.

Ingredients

Tea tree oil is extracted by steam distillation of twigs and leaves of the Australian tea tree. Tea tree oil is sometimes called melaleuca oil based on the plant’s official name, Melaleuca alternifolia.
